Feb 1: Annual For the Love Art Month
Las Cruces and Mesilla participate in art exhibit throughout the area.  Various location throughout the City of Las Cruces and Mesila, New Mexico love-of-art@comcast.net

Feb 11: Truth or Consequences Second Saturday Art Hop
Galleries, studios, shops and restaurants are open late on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Check the MainStreet Truth or Consequences website for info on opening exhibits and special events.  Downtown T or C promotions@torcmainstreet.org
Feb 18: Texas Longhorn World Class Show
Breeders from New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Arizona will be showing all classes of cattle, which include heifers, cow-calf, steers, and bulls, in halter and open division. Judging will be held for youth and adults divisions. There will be several vendors from the local area, with items such as jewelry, pottery, mosaics, paintings, A silent auction will benefit the youth scholarship program and will be held during the show Saturday, ending Sunday.  Sierra County Fairgrounds 915-252-4118
Feb 24: Annual Gathering of Quilts

Pinos Altos
Six minutes and 1500 feet above Silver City is the old mining town of Pinos Altos [Tall Pines]. It was once a thriving gold mining town of 9000 when Silver City was but a tent or two. It was first named Birchville and gold was discovered in 1837.

Catwalk
The Catwalk National Scenic Trail offers a fascinating glimpse into the geologic and historic foundations of southwest New Mexico. The result of cataclysmic volcanic actions, the area now offers a beautiful picnic spot next to Whitewater Creek, a challenging one-mile trail along the historic 1890's mining waterway, and a sense of place that creates images of an earlier time.

Virden
Virden is located on the New Mexico-Arizona border northwest of Lordsburg. Virden is a small farming community fast becoming a retirement spot. It's known for its excellent chile.
